Coming out of various lockdowns and minimal in-person events over the past two years due to the pandemic, The Body Shop was looking for an impactful way to reintroduce themselves to North American media and influencers, as well as a creative way to drive significant awareness of their priority launches.

To meet this objective, Maccomm developed a once in a lifetime opportunity for editors and influencers - The Body Shop Changemaking Beauty Retreat. For this event, 14 media were hosted at Civana Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree Arizona, and 14 influencers were hosted at Amara Resort & Spa in Sedona Arizona during July 2022. Over the course of six days, guests were treated to invigorating hikes through the rocky landscape, meditative breathwork classes targeting deep relaxation, wondrous stargazing under the desert sky and personalised product consultations. Every activity was extremely elevated and super shareable. In addition to building great relationships with guests, the results have been remarkable (and are still coming in) including 126M media impressions and 110M social media impressions.
